Happy Daylight Saving Time, Adventurers! If you're groggy from losing an hour, consider this: long before your phone automatically adjusted the time for you, 18th-century astronomers at Jantar Mantar in Jaipur were tracking time with 100-foot sundials capable of measuring the sun's movement to within two seconds. They didn't get that hour back either, but at least their timekeeping involved monumental stone instruments instead of a bleary 3 a.m. fumble with your microwave clock. Here's to brighter evenings and the grand, occasionally annoying, business of chasing sunlight. ⏳
