Did you know Wes Anderson’s first films were shot on a Yashika Super 8 camera his father gifted him when he was just eight years old? Recently, the 🎥 trailer for Asteroid City was released, and to celebrate Wes' eleventh feature film, we found a few fun facts:

• 🦊 More than 535 puppets were used in the making of Fantastic Mr. Fox

• 🦅 While filming of The Royal Tenenbaums, Mordecai the hawk was kidnapped

• 🦈 The jaguar shark in The Life Aquatic is one of the largest stop-motion puppets ever constructed

TERRADA G1 Building | Tokyo, Japan | Now thru May 26thOn April 5th the doors opened to a gallery exhibit in one of our favorite cities. With nearly 300 amazing photos from the AWA Community, the gallery will transport you around the world and back again. Take a peek, and send us a few snapshots 📸 while you’re at it! If you thought this dainty domicile was born painted fully pink, you’d be incorrect. Its name isn’t even Reid–well, maybe it’s the home’s first name. Today, the Klee House serves as the welcoming gatekeeper to guests of the Catbird Hotel, festooned with the brand’s deep blue and pink colors. A large bronze rhino sitting near the base of the historic house hints to visitors that this is not one’s ordinary hotel.

Strolling along the streets of any old city on the Southeastern coast of the United States, one is bound to encounter porches featuring a blanket of blue paint on the roof’s underside— “haint” blue that is. This calming blue-green color is an omnipresent feature of porches all over the South and East Coast of the country. Why this specific hue? The answer is in mythology, superstition, and a love of light.
